Newport Boat Club

The club is housed in an ancient warehouse dating back to the time when this was a busy port. Five storehouses, of which this is the survivor, were built on this site between 1758 and 1825. It was purchased by a group of Founder Members in 1976.Newport Boat Club supports most forms of enjoyment on the water including sailing, rowing, canoeing, fishing or simply crusing around the bay. We place great value on the peacefulness of our setting and powerboat owners are asked to be aware of the speed limits in the Nevern estuary. There is a program of sailing races on Bank Holidays & throughout August. The club is an active member of the Celtic Longboat League with several rowing teams training & competing throughout the year. Both rowing & sailing instruction is available through the Club.We are proud that our club has an inclusive, friendly style, a modest subscription and is equally welcoming to local and holidaying members. We are always happy to receive visiting members of other sailing and boating clubs. For more information see our web site: www.newportboatclub.co.uk
